Diesel Kicks Off Swim Week With Sexy Suits

At the Diesel show it was all about sexy, fun cuts

Diesel channeled Miami’s sexy and sultry side with its new swimwear collection.

The denim brand kicked off the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2012 at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach on Thursday night with models in little bikinis. Kristin Cavallari also came out in a blue cutout onepiece embellished with shards of glass.

“I was really nervous,” she said after the show. “But I had fun.”

At the show, models strutted down the runway in bathing suits with clashes of color. There were also denim graphics, hardware embellishments and leather buckles.

A model wore a blue denim string bikini, while another wore a halter neck blue and white stripped bikini top with red and white stripe bottoms. A blue onepiece had a helicopter and tropical print. For the men, there long boy shorts and even a pair of black striped tight briefs.

At the end of the show the models came out holding flags.

Cristiano Quieti, Diesel USA’s CEO said being at swim week is “making a statement that we are serous about beachwear.”

He also said there will be an overall relaunch of the Diesel woman in the next months.

Quieti added that the woman who wears Diesel is brave and rebellious.

‘She’s sexy because she likes to be sexy. She’s playful,” he said.
