Cold Front Coming Through South Florida

Early temps in the 60s, highs in 70s

A cold front will pass through South Florida Friday, with just a five to 10 percent chance for rain.

The morning will remain mostly cloudy, with early temperatures are in the mid 60s. Jackets will come off around 10 a.m., when temperatures rise to 70 degrees. Afternoon highs peak around 75.

Clouds will begin to thin this afternoon once the front has cleared the coast. Breezy conditions will redevelop and a small craft advisory will be in effect for our local waters. The rip current risk is moderate today, so please be careful at the beach.

Isolated showers are expected in the lower Florida Keys this morning.

Plan on a bright and breezy Saturday, with wake up weather in the 60s, and highs in the upper 70s. Sunday will be a touch milder with a high of 80.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Sean was less than 100 miles from Bermuda early Friday, with maximum sustained winds near 60 mph. Residents will cope with tropical storm force winds and 1-3 inches of rain, the worst of the weather early Friday.

Sean will lose tropical characteristics by Saturday as it merges with a frontal system, the same one passing through South Florida today.
