Temperatures Monday morning will bottom out in the upper 40s inland to lower 50s along the coast in South Florida. Below average temps will not be long lived, so cold-seekers should enjoy the short lived cool down early week.
With plenty of sunshine Monday, thermometers will rise rapidly after sunrise at 6:40 a.m. South Florida will hit 70 degrees around 10 a.m. and experience highs in the mid 70s this afternoon.
It will not be as cool overnight into Tuesday. Temperatures will fall into the lower 60s as winds gradually strengthen.
Be ready for windy weather Tuesday through Thursday as sustained winds are forecasted 20-25 mph with stronger gusts. As a result, the rip current risk will be elevated at local Atlantic beaches. We’ll be back to the 80s by midweek.
