Highs in Mid 80s Tuesday in South Florida

More sunshine and lighter winds as cold front not expected until Sunday

Early temps in the upper 60s and lower 70s will head into the mid 80s Tuesday afternoon in South Florida.

Highs will be about five degrees above average and with the heat in place, expect a bit more sunshine and lighter winds than Monday. Still, with the wind flow from east to west the rip current risk at local Atlantic Beaches remains elevated.

It will remain generally dry this week with no more than an isolated shower on the breeze. Shower chances will hover around 10 percent for the next several days, so you can confidently keep outdoor plans.

The next cold front is on track to arrive on Sunday. A few showers are possible Sunday afternoon.
