A few morning showers will be replaced by full sunshine Thursday afternoon in South Florida.
Thursday will likely be the driest day of the next few as shower and thunderstorm chances increase as soon as Friday. It looks to be a wet end to the work-week and a wet start to the weekend as a tropical wave passes by.
Highs Thursday will climb to 91 but will hang in the upper 80s for Friday and Saturday due to more cloud cover and showers around.
In the tropics, Tropical Storm Ernesto will make landfall again in Mexico Friday morning while we keep an eye on a vigorous wave in the open Atlantic. This area, about midway between Africa and the Lesser Antilles, has the potential for development in the next 48 hours.
