Partly Cloudy and Warm, Highs in the Low 90s

Afternoon storms expected. Some could be strong.

Friday is starting out with a nice morning, after storms ripped through the area late Thursday.

Lows are in the mid 70s, with sunshine across South Florida. There will be a quick warm-up in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low 90s, with partly cloudy skies.

Another round of showers and storms could sweep through the area later in the day, with the possibility of some becoming strong.

There is a weak cold front sliding south, increasing moisture and instability – resulting in a 40 percent chance of rain later in .

Showers and storms should be ending overnight, with lows in the mid 70s.

There will be a 30 percent chance of showers and storms in the forecast for Saturday, but a quiet Father’s Day is expected. Sunday will have a 20 percent chance of showers and highs in the upper 80s.

The tropics remain quiet.
