After a soggy start to the morning, an urban flood advisory was issued for Miami-Dade County Saturday until 11 a.m.
Showers and storms in the area caused rainfall in excess of one to three inches per hour, with additional rain expected. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
Motorists were urged to use caution in low-lying areas of the road and in poor drainage areas. On Saturday morning, several South Beach residents advised of flooding near 10th Street and Alton Road.
The rain is expected to continue for the next few hours with storms possible in the afternoon. Rain chances will taper as the weekend comes to an end.
