South Florida Forecast: Spotty Showers, Thunderstorms Over the Weekend

Highs will be in the mid-80s

The weather has improved quite a bit now that a cold front is dissipating near South Florida.

High pressure will settle in now behind the front and our easterly breeze will be increasing. The moist ocean wind means that isolated showers remain in the forecast through Saturday night.

On Sunday the high-pressure system moves away while low pressure approaches the southeastern states from the Lower Plains. So even though we will enjoy a good deal of sunshine on Sunday, there is a risk of a few spotty afternoon thunderstorms.

High temperatures this weekend will be in the mid-80s. Next week we’ll get back into a stormy pattern similar to what we saw earlier this week.
