South Florida

Warm Start to 2019 in South Florida

South Florida will ring into the new year with warm temperatures and a low chance of rain.

Tuesday's lows will hit the 70s, with highs in the 80s in the daytime. No new cold fronts have crossed South Florida for at least a week and therefore temperatures have reached 6 to 12 degrees above normal.

Rain chances will remain low at 10 percent. Any chances of showers are very light and very isolated and will remain in the Keys and the metro area.

Highs remain above average all week along with low rain chances. The next front could bring rain late Friday into early Saturday and temps will return to seasonable values.
