Severe weather struck South Florida Thursday bringing strong rains and some flooding to the region. The storms caused flight delays and power outages, and caused heavy flooding in Key West.

Ready Mix Concrete, at 7301 NW 47th Street in Miami, is giving away sandbags to those dealing with flooding in Miami-Dade and Broward.

A tornado also touched down in Boca Raton, damaging at least a half a dozen homes, according to the National Weather Service.

The rain is expected to dry out over the weekend with more pleasant conditions coming by Sunday and lasting through next week. Temps will be in the low to mid 80s through the weekend.
