Weather Forecast: Mostly Cloudy With Thunderstorms Tuesday

Unsettled conditions will hold across South Florida

An area of low pressure continued to swirl just east of the Florida peninsula Tuesday morning, keeping shower chances in the South Florida forecast.

For the next few afternoons, unsettled conditions will hold on across the area, aiding in the development of thunderstorms. A quieter, drier pattern should move in towards the weekend.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with afternoon showers and thunderstorms and highs around 89. Wednesday and Thursday will also see clouds and scattered thunderstorms.

Tropical Storm Humberto continued to strengthen near the Cape Verde Islands and was on track to become the season’s first hurricane later Tuesday. Tropical Storm Gabrielle reformed Tuesday morning just south of Bermuda and will march north, staying east of the United States.
