Highs in the upper 80s, low 90s in South Florida

Mostly sunny conditions will hang around South Florida Wednesday as tropical moisture begins to stream into the region.

By Wednesday night, showers and thunderstorms will be on the increase, with the peak of shower chances holding to Thursday and Friday.

High temperatures will be in the upper 80s and low 90s.

August has been lacking in rainfall, yielding less than two inches so far this month. In comparison, August of last year totaled over 15 inches of rainfall at Miami International Airport.

There are a few disturbances in the tropics at this time, but development in not expected in the next 24-48 hours.
