Giselle Espinales is a sports anchor and reporter who joined NBC6 in March 2021. She is also the co-host of Sports Final which airs on Sunday nights.
Espinales has covered some of the biggest sporting events in South Florida from the Miami Heat in the NBA finals to the Florida Panthers Stanley Cup Championship and everything in between.
Born and raised in Miami, Espinales graduated from Miami Springs Senior High, went on to get her associate degree at Miami-Dade College and her bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism at the University of Miami.
Espinales says that ever since the Marlins won the World Series in 2003 and Dwyane Wade got drafted to the Miami Heat, sports has been her passion. She can’t imagine not working as a sports journalist and loves talking local sports both at work and on her days off.
Espinales spends her free time with her husband Will raising their three daughters together.
She also enjoys speaking to local schools and doing charitable work in her hometown.
A self-proclaimed “foodie,” her favorite hobby is baking cookies or trying a new dish.
