Two Students Arrested for Threats Made Towards Miami Springs Middle School

Miami-Dade Schools Police are working with the FBI to investigate multiple social media threats warning of a shooting at Miami Springs Middle School.

Two students were arrested Friday for allegedly making multiple threats on social media warning of a shooting at Miami Springs Middle School.

A 13-year-old student and a 14-year-old student, who were not identified, were arrested after a five-day investigation into the threats, according to Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

"ALL OF Miami springs middle school kids are gonna die when i shoot up the school!" one of the posts read.

Another threat shows a picture of a rifle with a similar message that the school will be shot up.

The students are facing charges of disruption of a school function and multiple counts of written threats to kill or do bodily injury, according to police. They were transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center for processing.

The investigation was conducted by the Miami-Dade Schools Police Department, in collaboration with multiple agencies including the FBI.
