Bank Robber Leaves Cash Behind on I-75

A careless thief who robbed a Pembroke Pines bank Thursday morning left a mess of money on a South Florida interstate when some of the stolen cash flew out while he was making his escape. As the suspect was making his getaway southbound on I-75 in a dark sport motorcycle, bills flew out of his black backpack and scattered on the highway, authorities said. Officers were seen picking up the money on the interstate. FBI Special Agent Michael Leverock also said that several people “stopped to grab the money and retrieve it off the ground. I’ve got to let you know that the money has to be returned” to the FBI, he said.
