Carnival Triumph To Be Rescued by Tug Boats
One of two tugboats had arrived by Monday night to aid the stranded Carnival Triumph cruise ship. More than 4,000 people are stuck on the ship after a fire knocked out the engine Sunday morning. It will be towed to Mobile, Alabama, Carnival Cruise Lines said. Willie Miller, whose family is on the cruise ship, described the conditions on board. “We’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience, discomfort and frustration our guests are feeling. We know they expected a fantastic vacation, and clearly that is not what they received,” Carnival said in a statement.
