College Week: University of Miami Students Search for Sharks

Just about every weekend you’ll find University of Miami students on an amazing fishing trip: they’re trying to catch as many sharks as they can. Students from the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science need blood and tissue samples that will tell them how well the sharks are eating and how difficult their environment has been. They also attach satellite tags. Marine science students David Shiffman and Austin Gallagher talk about what they’ve learned.
