Danell Leyva on Being Back Home and the Aftermath of Winning an Olympic Medal

The London 2012 bronze medalist said he’s very excited and very happy to be back home in Miami. Danell Levya said he hasn’t processed his Olympic experience yet, and said he’s not used to being recognized. “But to be completely honest, you dream about the moment of getting the medal and you dream about that moment. You don’t really dream about the aftermath, which is autographs, interviews, videos, getting recognized,” he told NBC 6 South Florida’s Karen Yi. “So it’s cool. It’s a little different feeling.”
