FPL Plant at Port Everglades Demolished

Florida Power & Light Company used dynamite to take down the four 350-foot candy-cane-striped stacks and four 7,500-ton boilers at the Port Everglades plant. FPL spokesman Bill Orlove discussed the demolition, and the company’s president, Eric Silagy, spoke about the new natural gas-powered plant that will be built in its place.
