Guilty Verdict Reached in Joel Lebron Trial

Joel G. Lebron, 33, showed no emotion as he was found guilty of the brutal rape and murder of Ana Maria Angel and the attempted murder of her boyfriend, Nelson Portobanco. Angel’s mother, Margarita Osorio, gave her reaction after the verdict was read. Earlier, prosecutor Reid Rubin recounted the chilling moments when Angel, 18, begged for her life in 2002.
