Miami Beach Man Attacked Coworker With Machete: Police

A worker for the City of Miami Beach is behind bars after he attacked his coworker with a machete, nearly severing the man’s arm, police said. Guillermo Baez del Castillo, 63, was arrested Tuesday after an altercation with coworker Marcos Fojon, 59, nearly turned fatal, according to a Miami Beach Police arrest report. Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Marisa Tinkler Mendez found probable cause of attempted first-degree murder with a deadly weapon and ordered Baez del Castillo held without bond. The judge said she would give him time to find an attorney.
