Miami Gardens Mayor Reveals His Plan to Curb Violence

After nine people have been shot in 11 days in Miami Gardens, police are taking action. On Wednesday, a man was shot outside his house in the area of 175th Street and Northwest 14th Avenue by a teenage suspect at about 1:20 p.m. The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition. Increased police presence will start in the city Wednesday night, Mayor Oliver Gilbert said.
