Miami Immigration Consultant Accused of Marriage Fraud

A Miami immigration consultant is facing federal charges after authorities said she helped foreign national men fraudulently obtain their United States green cards by brokering their marriages to Cuban-born women living in South Florida. Yamira Sanchez, 47, is charged with one count of conspiring to commit marriage fraud and five counts of unlawfully encouraging an alien to reside in the United States, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida.
