Miami vs. Notre Dame: Ball Seemed To Be in Air Forever, Thomas Finnie Says of 1st Interception

“We feed off each other, offense and defense,” defensive back Thomas Finnie told reporters Tuesday. Asked if the Hurricanes can play the spoiler Saturday, he responded that they go into every game expecting to win – and it will be the same with Notre Dame. “We know they’re a good opponent, and we just got to lock in, and focus in, and have a good week of practice, and let that carry on into the game,” said the sophomore, who attended Miami Central High School. Finnie talked about the interception he made late in the game against North Carolina State which led to the Hurricanes’ game-winning drive. “The ball seemed like it was in the air forever,” he said of the first interception of his career.
