South Florida Woman Talks About LAX Shooting

A gunman opened fire at a Los Angeles International Airport security checkpoint Friday morning, killing a Transportation Security Administration employee and wounding several other people, police said. Amid the chaos, Randee Kessler and her two kids were on board a Virgin American flight from Fort Lauderdale that was landing at LAX. It was supposed to come into Terminal 3, where the shooting took place, but was diverted to the outskirts of the airport. “I’m thinking I’m so grateful for my life, because five minutes more, we would have been right there,” she said.
