Steven Bauer: “Scarface” Is “Very Popular” in Correctional World

“Scarface” actor Steven Bauer spoke in an interview Tuesday night about his arrest on an open 12-year-old warrant for driving with a suspended license. He said he was treated well by Sweetwater Police and by officials at the Miami-Dade County Jail. “They were very nice to me there, over there. Everybody knew me as the hometown guy, and obviously ‘Scarface’ is very popular with people in the correctional world,” said Bauer, whose real name is Steven Echevarria. A judge closed his case with a withhold of adjudication Tuesday.
