Suspect Who Crashed Trying To Get Away From Cops Was Wanted for Valero Gas Station Robbery: Miami Police

Police said Leonardo Lopez was driving a black Jeep Cherokee, trying to flee from police, when he crashed at Northwest 26th Avenue and 3rd Street in Miami Tuesday afternoon. His vehicle flipped over during the three-car crash. Lopez, 47, has been involved in over six violent robberies in Miami, including one at a Valero gas station on Biscayne Boulevard last week, police said. Lopez was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, and no one else was injured.
