Teen Killed in Hit and Run in Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade Police said a Chrysler minivan was traveling eastbound on Southwest 184th Street near S. Dixie Highway when it was struck just after 5 a.m. by a Range Rover Sport going at a high rate of speed in an illegal southbound direction on the busway. The Range Rover’s driver, 38-year-old Sandor Guillen, tried to flee the scene on foot but was caught after a perimeter was established, police said. Police said Kaely Camacho, 13, who was in the minivan with her father, 47-year-old Kirk Camacho, and sister, 16-year-old Breann Camacho, was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she later died. Service station manager German Pascual rushed to help after he heard the accident. “I imagine that she received the whole impact of the accident, and we helped the father take the girl out,” he said. “As soon as they told me that she died, it hurt me because I pulled her out,” Pascual said, his voice breaking.
