Teenager Gunned Down on Bike Laid to Rest

Family members laid slain teenager Bryan Herrera to rest Friday, six days after someone gunned him down on a bicycle in Allapattah. Mourners carried yellow roses and offered prayers. The 16-year-old’s mother, Ency Quintero, knelt at his casket, calling him a warrior of light. “Weapons only destroy,” she said later in Spanish, calling for people to unite to get them off the streets.
