U.S. Attorney Announces Bribery-Related Charges Against Sweetwater Mayor Manuel Marono and Miami Lakes Mayor Michael Pizzi

U.S. Attorney Wifredo Ferrer said at a press conference Tuesday that public corruption complaints have been brought against Sweetwater Mayor Manuel Marono, Miami Lakes Mayor Michael Pizzi and two lobbyists, Jorge Forte and Richard Candia. Marono received more than $40,000 in bribes, and Pizzi received $6,750 in bribes, he said.
