Officials say three horses are dead following a central Florida barn fire.
Treasure Coast News reports that the fire occurred Thursday morning in rural St. Lucie County.
Fire District spokeswoman Catherine Chaney says the blaze destroyed the barn, but one horse managed to escape with minor injuries.
No people were hurt.
Earlier this month, 12 horses were killed in a barn fire at an equestrian complex in suburban Palm Beach. Two others were critically injured in that fire.
