$4 Million Mega Millions Ticket Sold in South Florida

Jackpot is now up to $418 million for Friday's drawing

Tens of millions of dollars are up for grabs in nationwide lotteries. People in South Florida are lining up to purchase tickets for their chance to win. NBC 6’s Andrea Cruz reports.

A person in South Florida is now a multi-millionaire after their Mega Millions lottery ticket matched all five white balls in Tuesday's drawing.

Lottery officials said the ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven at 3101 W. Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac. The store will receive $5,000 for selling the winning ticket.

The winner is taking home $4 million, because it included the optional Megaplier, which was 4X for Tuesday’s drawing.

The six numbers in Tuesday's drawing were white balls 1, 42, 47, 64 and 70, plus the gold Mega Ball 22.

No tickets matched all six numbers, so the jackpot is now up to $418 million for Friday's drawing. It's the fourth largest jackpot in the 15-year history of Mega Millions.
