Suspect Wanted in Credit Card Fraud Case

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public's help identifying a suspect accused of making purchases and withdrawals with a stolen debit card in the Marathon area.

According to detectives, the owner of the debit card called police after his bank notified him of some ATM withdrawals being made with his card.

He then realized his wallet was missing. He told detectives he probably left it on the counter of a restaurant in Marathon the night before.

The debit card was used at the Big Pine Quik Mart, the Valero Gas Station in Marathon and the Home Depot in Marathon.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-346-TIPS.
