A plane had to spend some extra time taxiing at Orlando International Airport after an alligator was spotted walking across the runway Monday.
Passenger Anthoni Velardi said his Spirit Airlines flight had just landed when the gator was seen on the runway.
Velardi told WESH that the pilot announced over the speaker “Believe it or not there is a gator on the runway and we are waiting for it to cross.”
The gator walked to a pond near the runway and the plane was only delayed a few moments.
