Authorities are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Opa-locka Friday morning.
The incident happened near Northwest 27th Avenue and Ali Baba Avenue at around 5:30 a.m., the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office said. Streets were blocked off between Ali Baba Avenue and Northwest 147th Street.

WATCH HEREAccording to the sheriff's office, a vehicle was heaving north on Northwest 27th Avenue when it struck an adult male pedestrian who was crossing outside of the crosswalk.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. His identity wasn't released.

The driver stayed at the scene, authorities said.
Video showed authorities blocking roads in the area and diverting drivers.
The sheriff's office said traffic homicide detectives responded to investigate.
