Day Care Driver Shut Off Safety Alarm Before Boy Died in Van: Report

Ceressa's Daycare surrendered its child care license earlier this week

NBC 6’s Marissa Bagg breaks down the rules and regulations day cares should follow when they transport students.

An Oakland Park day care where a 2-year-old died after being left inside a van surrendered its child care license earlier this week.

County officials issued a notice of violation to Ceressa's Daycare on Friday, detailing five violations including a lack of supervision in the vehicle, no transportation log, no attendance log and improper seat belt and child restraints.

According to a report from Broward County Child Care Licensing and Enforcement, the driver also turned off a vehicle safety alarm that might have saved Noah Sneed's life. The child was left inside the vehicle for approximately five hours on July 29.

Authorities closed the day care a day after a worker found Sneed's body.

Officials are still investigating his death.
