Car Fire Snarls Traffic on Florida's Turnpike in Miramar

A vehicle fire shut down the southbound lanes of Florida's Turnpike in Miramar Tuesday during rush hour.

The fire occurred after 5 p.m. near NW 27th Avenue. 

Firefighters were on the scene extinguishing the blaze. The vehicle was cleared from the scene at around 5:30.

It wasn't immediately clear how the fire started.
