NBC 6 Reporter Andrea Cruz is in Ft. Lauderdale, where police are starting to investigate how and why a body was found in the water.
A death investigation is underway Saturday after a man's body was discovered floating in the waters of Fort Lauderdale, police say.
According to Fort Laudedale Police Department spokesperson Tracy Figone, an man, between the ages of 30 and 35, was found floating canal near Commercial Boulevard and the intercoastal waterway.
Figone says it is not known how the man died or for how long his body was floating in the canal.
