DJ Afrojack Brings EDM to Latin Billboard Awards

Heating up the Latin Billboard Awards stage for the first time in its history is international EDM rock star DJ, Nick van de Wall, better known to electronic dance music fans as Afrojack.

The globetrotting 27-year-old DJ from the Netherlands joins a star-studded line up of Latin performers that includes Bachata King Romeo Santos, Carlos Santana and Jennifer Lopez.

The celebrity DJ wrote and produced Pitbull’s hit song “Give Me Everything” which reached the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in 2011. He will perform for a Latino audience, bringing his special blend of EDM and pop sounds from his album “Forget The World” that debuted at No. 2 on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart in 2014.

Known for its originality and innovation, the Latin Billboard Music Awards will highlight for the first time on Spanish-language television the growing musical wave of Electronic Dance Music.

The Latin Billboard Awards show is one of the longest-running and most prestigious awards show in the Latin music world.

You can catch Afrojack and many more performances starting next Thursday, April 30th, live at 8 p.m. from the University of Miami’s BankUnited Center in Coral Gables.
