Flood Watch Continues in South Florida as Fred Degenerates to Tropical Wave

NBC Universal, Inc.

Tropical Depression Fred, with winds of 35mph is forecast to track west of Key West and pass by late this morning into early afternoon in your First Alert Doppler 6000 forecast.

All eyes are on the tropics this weekend.

For the rest of today through evening newscasts, we can refer to Fred as “Remnants Of Fred” – this storm is now a tropical wave versus a storm or depression.

It will become a tropical storm again before landfall near the Panhandle Monday, but for us, just wind & rain.

Tropical Storm Grace now has winds of 45 mph.

The Leeward Islands, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico have a tropical storm warning. The cone of concern includes all of South Florida for the middle and end of the workweek.
