BSO investigating after young girl falls from window at building

Authorities are investigating after a 5-year-old girl fell from the third story window of a North Lauderdale building Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened around 12:15 p.m. at 8030 Hamptons Boulevard, Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Dani Moschella said.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue took the girl by air to Broward Health Medical Center though she didn't appear to have life-threatening injuries, Moschella said.

BSO detectives are investigating the circumstances that led to the fall.
