An AT&T worker said his co-worker was stuck up in a bucket while a former Miami-Dade firefighter shot up two utility trucks outside the gunman’s Hialeah home, according to a 911 call released Thursday. Hialeah Police say 64-year-old Jorge Jove became upset when the trucks were parked in front of his driveway Wednesday.
An AT&T worker said his co-worker was stuck up in a bucket while a former Miami-Dade firefighter shot up two utility trucks outside the gunman's Hialeah home, according to a 911 call released Thursday.
Hialeah Police say 64-year-old Jorge Jove became upset when the trucks were parked in front of his driveway Wednesday, and began opening fire.
"There's a guy shooting out my tires. I'm at work, I work in the area of Hialeah," the AT&T worker tells a 911 operator, as gun shots ring out in the background. "An actual gun, a revolver! An actual gun!"
AT&T employees Derrick Taylor and Gilberto Ramos were working near Southeast 5th Place and 6th Avenue. Ramos exchanged words with Jove before moving their trucks down the street.
"By the time he came out with the gun they were a few houses away, but he still had a score to settle," Hialeah Police Det. Carl Zogby said.
The retired Miami-Dade firefighter stops to reload his revolver three times, firing at least 18 shots, police said. He fired into tires and other parts of the trucks, all while Ramos was in the elevated bucket above.
"Somebody is up in the bucket right now and they can't come down cause he's shooting the truck," the 911 caller said.

The employee who called 911 said Jove also pointed the revolver in his direction before firing at his vehicle.
"No one is injured, nobody is even near him but he's still shooting the truck right now," the caller said.
According to an arrest report, Jove told detectives he went "bananas" and shot at the tires and trucks to stop them from leaving.
Jove was released from jail after posting $30,000 bond. Now he's facing two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and felony vandalism.
