Juror Contempt Charge Made in Polo Mogul's Trial

A potential juror in the retrial of polo mogul John Goodman has been jailed on a contempt charge.

The Palm Beach Post reports the man was jailed Thursday during jury selection after telling another prospective juror he knew the case was a retrial.

Jurors who are aware the case is a retrial are barred from serving.

Goodman's 2012 conviction was overturned because of a juror's misconduct including a drinking experiment and withholding of key information.

Police say Goodman was drunk when he ran a stop sign in February 2010 and rammed into Scott Patrick Wilson's car, killing him.

Though the case is to be heard in West Palm Beach, jurors are being chosen in Tampa.
