Local Leaders React to Rep. Alcee Hastings' Passing

South Florida lost a civil rights icon: Congressman Alcee Hastings passed away Tuesday at the age of 84. He left behind a strong legacy that includes being the first African American federal judge in the state of Florida and the first African American from the state to serve in Congress since the Civil War.
