A man was denied bond after he was charged with murder in connection to a body that was found inside a burning pickup truck on Thursday.

A man is facing a murder charge after another man's body was discovered inside a burning pickup truck in Cutler Bay Thursday afternoon, police said.

The blue Ford F-250 truck was found burning in a parking lot near Old Cutler Road and 205th Street around 1:40 p.m.

Cellphone footage showed heavy flames coming from the truck and black smoke rising into the air as fire rescue crews responded.

Miami-Dade Police officials said a man's body was discovered inside after the fire was put out. He was later identified as 39-year-old Igor Ernesto Ortiz of Miami.

On Friday, police confirmed they'd arrested 35-year-old Randall Lautzenheiser in connection with the incident.

Lautzenheiser, who is homeless, is facing a first-degree murder charge, police said.

According to an arrest report, Lautzenheiser was found in the parking lot with burn marks on his forearms and no shirt on, and was taken into custody.

Lautzenheiser had been seen earlier in the day sitting inside the truck with the victim and the two were seen involved in a verbal altercation, the report said.

At one point, Lautzenheiser was heard saying "I'm going to be on CNN tonight," the report said.

Lautzenheiser was also seen at some nearby gas pumps filling up a small can of fuel and returning to the victim's truck, the report said.

Another verbal argument was heard and a short time later the truck was seen engulfed in flames, and Lautzenheiser was seen running away from the truck, the report said.

When he was interviewed by investigators, Lautzenheiser said he went to the gas station, put $5 on the counter and bought a can of beer and gas, the report said.

He said he was inside the truck and smoking a cigarette and somehow the gas can ignited, the report said.

Lautzenheiser was denied bond in court.
