A man was rushed to the hospital early Tuesday morning after being shot while sitting in his high-priced vehicle in Miami's most exclusive fashion district.
Miami Police officials said officers arrived at the scene located near Northeast 1st Avenue and 36th Street, located in Miami's Design District, just before 2 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
Two men were sitting inside a yellow Chevrolet Corvette when two other men approached in another vehicle. The man who was shot, Reynaldo Diaz, said in an interview with NBC 6 that the men approached wearing masks.
"We went to the garage, we got in my car," Diaz said. "We saw a car come around a couple of times and then they came out and had guns."

"They were pretty tall, both the driver and passenger," Diaz said, adding he believed they were targeted because they had on expensive jewelry. "I have no clue what they looked like. Everything went pretty fast."
The other man inside the Corvette, Amine Jawhari, told NBC 6 when the vehicle initially approached them they immediately locked the doors.
Jawhari said the shooter began opening fire into the driver's side window before fleeing the scene.

“And I hear some shooting one or two shots and after they left," he said. "I thought I was going to die. God saved us. It was my first experience like that.”
Diaz was struck in both his arm and leg and rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition and is expected to be okay.
