Miami-Dade Police Investigating Violent Carjacking

An armed carjacking left a man shot early Saturday morning in Miami.

Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred around 5:25 a.m. at the 10000 block of southwest 116th avenue in Miami.

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Ryan Tolmos.

According to detectives, Tolmos picked up the carjackers from the Wynwood area and returned to his home. When Tolmos arrived to the location, the carjackers took out a firearm and shot Tolmos multiple times and fled in his vehicle.

Tolmos was transported to Kendall Regional Hospital and is in critical condition.

Tolmos' vehicle has been identified as a black, 2005, Acura TL, 4-door and bearing Florida tag 017VET.

This investigation is still ongoing. The names and amount of those involved are unknown at this time.
