Norland High in Miami Gardens was placed on lockdown after reports of a man running into the school who was possibly armed.
Miami Norland High School was put on code red lockdown Friday afternoon.
An unknown male ran inside the school, possibly armed with a gun, Miami-Dade Schools Police said. Officers are on the scene where a possible suspect is in custody. K-9 units were responding to the incident.
Norland High is located on 1193 NW 193rd Street in Miami Gardens.
No other information was released.
