Family members traveled from New York after 20-year-old Jenna Jacobson was found near Lantana.

A father from New York is demanding answers after his daughter's remains were found in South Florida.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office confirmed that bones discovered last week in Lantana belong to 20-year-old Jenna Jacobsen.

Chris Jacobsen said his daughter disappeared four weeks ago after going to a substance abuse facility in Broward County. He said the facility suddenly shut down and his daughter was transferring to another facility in West Palm Beach when he stopped hearing from her.

"She was an extremely kind, loving young woman," Chris Jacobsen told WPTV. "She had hopes and dreams and was aspiring to go to college and work in the veterinarian field."

The medical examiner said Jenna Jacobsen died of "undetermined means" but detectives are investigating her death as a homicide.

Chris Jacobsen hopes someone can give him answers in his daughter's death.

"Please bring them to justice so she can rest easy and we can have closure on this," he said. "To be victimized like this is just beyond words that I can explain."
