Bloody Dummy Stopping Traffic at Haunted House Site

Haunted House promo getting a chilling reaction from Miamians

Halloween is almost a month away, but a bloody promo for a haunted house is already sending chills of many Miamians' spines.

On 7th Avenue, what looks like a dead man sits behind glass on the corner and appears to be splattered with blood. He's got human hair, a disheveled look and empty beer cans all around him, which makes it look all the more real.

So much so that people have rushed to the window, banging on it to see if the poor guy  is still alive.

Well, he never was to begin with.

The bloody massacre is part of the promotion for The Devil's Disciple, a haunted house that will be located just behind the plastic, life-like dummy. The dummy is being displayed at the O.H.W.O.W. art gallery and is causing quite a stir.

"If you're coming down 7th avenue, you're not seeing anything else but that," said Mills Moran, who works at the gallery. "People cover their baby's face and their eyes because it's so real. We here people knocking all the time wondering if the dummy is alive or dead."

The artist who created the prop goes by the name of Neckface and used his own hair to make the dummy look like a real murder victim.

The dead dummy is just a sample of what people can expect come Halloween when Devil's Disciple opens up, says Neckface, who invites people to come experience 10,000 square feet of his world of mayhem and realism.

There may even be a few human surprises. Trick or treat.
